Radio code
Hi I'm new to this forum - I have a 2013 Zafira fitted with a CD30 mp3 player. Can anyone tell me if I disconnect this audio unit ( to "plumb in" a hands free kit ) when I reconnect it, will it need a code to be entered ? I do not have a code, and have been told there is no code because the unit is electronically locked to the display and cannot be used in any other vehicle. Any authoritative help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all. I bought a used zafira a couple of weeks ago, & it was showing m p g etc, but it has disapeared. How do I get it back? I have studied the manual, but can' t find out how to do it. Help please.

No problem vfr. As you can see this is a m32 box so when you go to the parts section and choose transmission, choose the m32 version to get the gearbox. You may find a few numbers listed. These are supersessions.

thanks for the link sorry did not say that before it will be useful when my mechnic has issues with another vauxhall car , is there other websites for search vim numbers of other manfactures. My friend car is going off to a local garage just to check the obvious stuff before going down the gearbox replacement route.

have found a place in minworth,birmingham that can do a recon the existing gearbox for £600 is that a good price? that would be technical a new one and prob better with uprated parts as well (or thats what the advert said) and the best/top-rated gearbox oil - http://www.dkbproject.co.uk/

If its a zafira b then try either the BC button on the radio or the rolly wheel control button thingy on the lefthand side of the steering wheel. These are used to change the multi function display to show the mpg. Hope this helps.

Off the top of my head I would be looking at what you removed to get at the bulb {airbox) and remove again / study / refit checking any leads/connectors are fitted correctly (cost nothing but time) ![Wink]( "Wink")

MPG Challenge
Got a 62 plate Zafira special edition and had it from new. Its a 1.6i mainly on M25 usually at cruise control 60mph, and about 30 miles of country roads again usually on 50-60mph and I get around 420 to 440mpg. I rarely have the climate control on but not sure if this really makes any difference to the mpg or not.
The car is unladen but I have always thought the MPG on petrol Zafira's to be poor and now know it.

If it was a XEP id suggest gummed up EGR channels in the inlet manifold but the XE1 is different design.
I agree with VFR - Trace your steps checking all pipes. Its probably going to be a pipe off somewhere dragging in air which is being picked up by the front O2 sensor and the ECU will be adjusting the mixture to keep the AF ratio correct but has ran out of adjustment so its logged P0171.
Hopefully it will be easily spotted.
