Hi there Thomas, and welcome to the Owner's forum,. I hope you find it useful. It sounds as though you might have got the oil leak after the last service... Possibly the oil filter housing needs tightening up as it will have been taken off for the oil and filter change... or at least it should have been. As far as your red oil light on tickover goes, it could be that at over 100000 miles your engine might just be getting a bit loose on all the essential bearings. This is quite natural with time. The light is driven from an On/Off switch which senses the oil pressure which is obviously low at tickover. Could be a fault with a too sensitive switch, or you could try filling the engine with a slightly thicker grade of oil which would then be able to maintain a very slightly higher pressure overall. That would also make the engine less noisy. As long as the light does go out when the engine is revving normally, and doesn't come on when the engine is idling cold, you need not be too worried, but just try changing the oil grade. Cheers... Robin
