the blue mark on the box represents the marker on the block, this is how the pump should be fitted in to the housing initially

with the pump in place but with out any retaing bolt fitted, push in on the pump and rotate like so, notice how the pulley wheel has now moved toward the right, now fit timing belt starting at the crank in anti clock wise direction, once its around all pulleys and the tensioner (still loose) rotate the pump back untill the notch lines back up with the marker on the block (blue mark on box)

this is how it should look with the belt on and pump in correct position, notice the smaller notch is where the upper right retaining bolt locates, the blue circles represent the water pump bolts.
