That is not a bad idea.. but it would be helpful to maybe group the approved garages/ bodyshops into geographical areas so members could check out their own nearest facility..? I would also imagine that a list of franchises that are not so helpful or just can't seem to be bothered with any sort of helpful customer service, so should be avoided for peace of mind would be useful, like the Croyden outfit that forum member dj.Brian came across recently (see "code 0700" posting)
I'm more than happy to start the ball rolling by naming my local quite reasonable franchise "Eden Vauxhall" on Newgate Lane in Fareham. Hampshire. They have a helpful parts department and the only times I have had complicated repairs done that I couln't fix myself, their quote and time taken to do the job seemed to be fairly reasonable. I don't yet have an "avoid-at-all-costs" outfit to nominate, but I will be keeping my eyes and ears open to suggestions..!! Cheers .. Robin
