first thing I must say is sorry if this has been covered before.
I've had my car in at my local Vauxhall dealer on Wednesday and the Mechanic confirmed to me that the bearing had gone and needed the box replacing. Great I thought it was covered by my 12 month warrenty.
This morning I got a call from the service gentlemen who kindly informed me the warrenty they gave me only covers the first 1000 of the claim and the gearbox alone without fitting costs £3200 pounds great eh I nearly fell over. Does anybody have any expierance of this and do they know if I have a leg to stand on or do I have to sort it. the sales rep who sold me the car has been trying to find me a replacement car all day came back with a 1.4 Turbo tourer on a 13 plate 14000 miles pcp deal at £236 a month, I currently pay £101. The car cost me £10.500 8 month ago and he offered me 6000 px.
The car is a 2010 plate and has covered 31500 miles and ive only had the 8 months. It went in last week for its third main service which cost me £200 pounds, and this noise an gearbox only started when I got it back.
One more thing before I go I tried to flog the car straight away at my local Ford dealer, and the experia auto check flagged my car up as high risk so they couldn't part ex the car for me does anybody know why this is.
