Ok, i was completely wrong. First the wrong turbo was sent to me. I have a x20 dtl engine because the pipe from the egr valve runs over the top of the engine and into the turbo. The turbo i was sent is from the y20 dtl because the inlet for pipe im talking about is bent so it fits one that runs around the engine via an intercooler i guess, its also just a tiny bit bigger. I figured I would fit it to the manifold and put the
Oil pipes on to see if all my problems are infact the turbo. Well I was wrong because I could still hear the bl***dy noise! Ok. I have swapped them back now and five hours later i have given up. What I did find out though is that when I took my fan belt off again and properly inspected the alternator pully I found a spot when turning it where it sounds rough. When I spin it I can hear a rubbing. So, its onto the alternator.
