Hello, I have posted about this problem on the wrong forum so am trying again in the hope of some more help....... i have a 2000 2lt dl zaffy. to cut a long story short i have found out i have a siezed calliper on my rear left. i managed to get the brake off the disc with a few taps yesterday and investigate the calliper piston, i released the bleed nipple and tried to push the piston back with a g clamp but it wont budge. I spoke to a friend who had the same problem and he told me he got a friend to pump the brake whilst the engine was on and the force of the fluid freed the piston. He then took the piston out, redressed it with emery cloth, regreased it and put it all back together. He said apart from getting the piston back in without damaging the rubber dust guard it was relatively easy. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it? i would love to fix this myself rather than fork out for a new one before having a go. The car isn't needed for a few days after today so its the ideal time to strip it down.
