Hi Tinkerbella
Have you had a diagnostic check carried out on your car, from your description of the fault I suspect it to be a coincident that the fault has occurred after the exhaust being fitted, I'm sorry but I think it is the engine control unit that is your problem, because you have said the throttle stops working, if you have not had a check a would recommend that it is the next thing you consider. Does the engine have a manifold catalytic convertor try disconnecting the front pipe does the engine run better if so the centre section of the exhaust is blocked/collapsed, if not then the catalytic convertor may be blocked.
